Trent Twitero, MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon practicing primarily in Seguin, Texas, as well as New Braunfels, Cuero, Kenedy, and Gonzales. He is an attending orthopedic surgeon at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin and Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels. He is on staff at Cuero Regional Medical Center, Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital, and Gonzales Memorial Hospital. Trained in both operative and non-operative management of skeletal and soft tissue disease and injury, Dr. Twitero practices general orthopedic surgery, with an emphasis on joint replacement, pediatric and adult trauma, and sports injuries.
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree at The University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, Dr. Twitero received his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. He continued on to residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Following the five-year residency program, Dr. Twitero had a distinguished Army career including assignments in Fort Irwin, Fort Hood, Germany, Iraq, and Bosnia. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and he left the military in 2010 as the Chief of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at Fort Hood, Texas, and began his private practice.
Dr. Twitero is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and received his board certification through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons in 2007. Dr. Twitero is a dedicated husband and father, an Army veteran, and a car enthusiast.
