Ben Swanner, PA-C - Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute of New Braunfels
Meet Ben Swanner, the newest Physician Assistant at the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute of New Braunfels, working alongside Dr. Vrana. Ben plays a vital role in patient care, evaluating and diagnosing injuries, assisting with post-operative visits, and performing in-office procedures like injections and casting. He is board-certified by the NCCPA and the Texas Medical Board and brings a strong academic background with a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University and a PA degree from South University in Austin.

Originally from Dallas and a graduate of Lake Highlands High School, Ben found his calling in orthopedics, a field that blends his love of sports with his passion for helping others heal and thrive. Inspired by his mother, a longtime nurse, Ben is committed to making a difference in patients’ lives. Outside of the office, you’ll find him hiking and traveling with his wife Elaina, playing with their dog Maverick, or enjoying a pickup basketball game or round of golf.
